History
It was 1962, and the biggest storm to hit the Pacific Northwest in over 100 years, the Columbus Day Storm, had just pummeled the area. Seeing all of the devastation around them and wanting to do something to help, four business partners founded Truss-T Structures, Inc. (now called Pacific Building Systems) in Woodburn, Oregon. The company handled all aspects of the construction process, including installation, and played an integral role in putting communities back together in the years following the devastating storm.
Fast forward a few decades, and while we are no longer in the business of actually building buildings, we are still very much a part of building communities. As the most experienced metal building fabricator in Oregon, PBS designs, manufactures, and ships high-quality metal building kits to a wide variety of sectors, including agriculture, commercial, aviation, industrial, and government. Our family-owned, full-service facility in Woodburn includes design, drafting, and engineering, as well as a comprehensive components department.
While so much has changed since we started in the business 60 years ago, one thing hasn’t: we still value customer service above anything else. We see each prefabricated metal kit as more than just a building. We see it as an active member of the community – a place for people to gather, shop, work, worship, or play – so we use the latest technology and highest-quality materials and work closely with every customer from start to finish.
We’re proud to continue the legacy of founders, and we look forward to being a part of your community.
