When Did You Start Working with Pacific Building Systems?

Amber joined Pacific Building Systems in the fall of 2021, bringing with her over 15 years of experience in the metal building industry.

As a central figure in our purchasing department, she is committed to precision, efficiency, and relationship-building. She works hard to ensure that PBS continues to deliver the quality and care our customers have come to expect. Her passion for her work and the community makes her an invaluable part of the PBS family.

What Have You Learned From Being With Pacific Building Systems?

Amber’s career in the steel building industry began as a Sales Representative at another metal building company in Oregon, where she spent 15+ years rising through the ranks and gaining experience in Human Resources, Payroll, and Purchasing, ultimately leading to her role as General Manager. These experiences laid the foundation for her move to Pacific Building Systems, where she’s been an essential team member for the last 3 years.

“PBS values its employees and creates a culture I have not experienced before,” she says when asked what she has learned since joining the Pacific Building Systems family.

What is Your Role Within Pacific Building Systems?

As part of the Purchasing department, Amber is instrumental in keeping operations smooth and efficient.

Her responsibilities range from researching new products to collaborating with vendors to ensure seamless operations. “Every day offers something new and challenging,” she says, embracing the variety her role brings. Amber’s enthusiasm for building relationships shines through her work.

“PBS gives me the opportunity to work with some great individuals, both within the company and our community. Building relationships with co-workers and vendors alike is very rewarding.”

How Do You Spend Your Time Outside of Work?

When Amber isn’t excelling at PBS, she dedicates her time to giving back. She volunteers with a local horse therapy group, combining her love for animals with her desire to help others. She also enjoys gardening, camping, and spending quality time with family and friends.
