The spotlight is shining on yet another Pacific Building Systems staff member. This time, it’s on Albert Hutchings, our Relationship Sales Manager for North Idaho and Eastern Washington. 

Albert’s dynamic role here helps us bridge relationships in the Pacific Northwest and facilitate the sales of our pre-engineered metal buildings in the region he is assigned to. He’s an integral part of our team and brings a passion for fostering connections to every client he works with.

When Did You Start Working with Pacific Building Systems?

Albert joined the ranks of the Pacific Building Systems team back in February of 2024. His arrival in the office marked an exciting new chapter for both him in his career and for us as we looked to expand and nurture our connections in the regions we provide service to.

From day one, Albert has been an impressive addition to the workplace and has continued to grow in his role here as he overcomes challenges and creates new opportunities for the company.

What Have You Learned From Being With Pacific Building Systems?

Taking on any new job comes with the opportunity to learn, grow, and expand your skill set. Albert has been making the most of his time here to ensure he gains as much knowledge as he can in this industry and in his new role here with us. He even stated that, “My goal throughout life has been to gain knowledge as well as abilities.”

On the topic of gaining knowledge and new abilities as a goal, he went on to say, “This philosophy has served me well from the Marine Corp Serving our country to my own business and now as an employee of a great company.”

Along his career path here at PBS, Albert has been able to expand on the skills and traits he already has and implement his diverse background into bettering himself and the company. He often uses many of the talents that he’s gathered over the years, such as relationship building, reading blueprints, navigating computer programs, and many more in his job here.

He’s excited to be a part of the team, saying, “Pacific Building systems realizes the benefit of investing in their employees. They understand an employee who feels valued will have a positive attitude and as a result be more productive. We need more companies like Pacific building systems with great core values.”

What is Your Role Within Pacific Building Systems?

Albert is our Relationship Sales Manager for North Idaho and Eastern Washington. In that position, he is responsible for managing 29 counties across the two states. Throughout his work, he is able to build relationships with our clients in these areas and meet with them face-to-face when he travels to these beautiful parts of the Pacific Northwest.

Upon meeting with clients, he gets to see the communities they thrive in, where the pre-engineered metal building we design for them is going to live, and he gets the opportunity to learn the unique needs that each client may have when it comes to their metal building vision.

How Would You Describe Your Job at Pacific Building Systems?

Albert’s role is all about turning dreams into reality. As a Relationship Sales Manager, he has the unique privilege of guiding our clients through their journey of creating new spaces – whether it’s a workshop, an aircraft hangar, or a custom residence.

The heart of the job lies in cultivating strong, lasting relationships with our clients. For many of them, Albert is their main point of contact throughout the building and design process. He’s there from the very beginning, listening to their ideas and helping shape their vision and he’s there at the very end when the building is being assembled and final touches are underway.

We asked Albert what one of the most gratifying aspects of his job is, to which he said, “There is nothing more satisfying than getting a client something they have dreamed about.”

How Do You Spend Your Time Outside of Work?

When Albert isn’t at Pacific Building Systems, he’s passionate about giving back to his community and making a positive impact. His commitment to service was cultivated during his time in the Marine Corps and continues to be a driving force in his life. He can be found giving back to Veteran’s causes throughout his community and doing his part to make sure those who have served now get the service they deserve.

When it comes to Albert being a part of our team, it’s clear that his impact at Pacific Building Systems extends far beyond his role as Relationship Sales Manager. Albert embodies the values that drive our company forward: dedication, expertise, and a genuine passion for turning clients’ visions into reality.
