Marking a Milestone: Celebrating Components Direct’s 1st Anniversary
We have a pretty significant milestone to celebrate this month!
It’s the one year anniversary of our brick and mortar store, Components Direct.
One year ago, the doors swung open on this store to welcome in metal building enthusiasts as they scoured the shelves for the components they’d need to repair or enhance their building.
Since opening our doors in July of 2022, Components Direct has been a game-changer for our customers, providing convenient access to high-quality pre engineered building components and a seamless shopping experience.
Our goal for this store has always been to simplify the pre engineered building process and Components Direct plays a vital role in achieving that objective.

What is the Components Direct Store?
The opening of Components Direct was an exciting endeavor for our team.
We had been planning the grand opening of this store for quite some time and when the moment arrived to unveil it, we couldn’t wait!
A lot of time and effort went into creating this store and many thoughtful minds were involved. We’re thankful to have such wise and talented team members here at PBS. Without them, this store wouldn’t be what it is today.
A few people who played a big part in opening this store are Stephanie, who played a key role in planning the grand opening of the store, along with Yolanda and Casey in component sales.
Opening the store meant more than just providing a physical location for purchasing metal building components; it represented a commitment to better serve our customers.
With Components Direct, we aimed to create an all-in-one shop where clients could find the components they needed while receiving clear and thoughtful guidance for their pre engineered building projects.
The grand opening was a moment filled with anticipation, as we eagerly welcomed customers and set the stage for a new era in streamlined building solutions.
Our grand opening included food, a ribbon cutting, and plenty of educational opportunities as we showcased our new store to our patrons.
What The Year Has Held
Over the past year, Components Direct has experienced a whirlwind of activity.
We have had the pleasure of assisting numerous customers in finding the perfect components for their projects, from small-scale endeavors to large commercial developments.
Our knowledgeable team has been dedicated to providing expert advice and personalized assistance, ensuring that each customer receives the utmost attention and support.
We have witnessed countless success stories, where our customers’ visions were brought to life with the help of our high-quality components and exceptional service. A few of these success stories include buildings like the Sister’s Coffee Roasters and the Coleman Hop House.
A highlight from the last year is when we were involved in a project with Marble Construction.
Marble Construction reached out to us for help in a project. They needed parts and we were ready and able to get them to the jobsite. Between the PBS Components Division and our Components Direct Store, we managed to get them all of the parts they need in a timely manner.
First, our Components Division put together the order for the steel columns that would bring structural integrity to this project. Next, our Components Direct Store pulled several galvanized girts from the store shelves for a fast delivery to the project site.
We were able to expedite everything so the shipping process was smooth and speedy. We shipped the parts to Washington where they were then transferred to a freight ship that took them the final leg of their journey to Alaska.

Our Future
As we celebrate this milestone, our gaze is firmly fixed on the future.
In the coming year, we aspire to continue building upon the success of our store, expand our range of components, and further enhance the customer experience at Components Direct. We are committed to staying at the forefront of industry advancements, continually sourcing and creating top-of-the-line products and integrating the latest technologies to better serve our customers.
Our passion for innovation, coupled with our unwavering dedication to customer satisfaction, drives us forward as we embark on an exciting new chapter for Components Direct.
Over the next year, we aspire to continue to meet the evolving needs of our customers. We will be adding a wide range of merchandise to our inventory, including purlins, girts, anchor bolts in various sizes, door kits and accessories, and more to meet increased customer demand.
One notable addition that we already have is the SSQ275 hand crimper, now available for purchase. These hand seamers are essential tools for metal building construction and having them in stock eliminates the need for builders to rent these items.
We understand the importance of providing our customers with convenient access to the tools they require, and this expansion allows us to further enhance your shopping experience at Components Direct.
