Pacific Building Systems Joins Metal Building Manufacturers Association (MBMA)

“Oregon-Based Pre-Engineered Steel Building Company Positioned to Advance the Metal Building Industry in Leading Professional Organization”

(Woodburn, Oregon) – Pacific Building Systems (PBS) is proud to announce its recent membership with the Metal Building Manufacturers Association (MBMA) as a Building Systems member, joining the ranks of top leaders in the metal building industry.

The MBMA brings leading firms together with a shared goal of advancing and improving the metal building industry. By collaborating with professionals, architects, educators, building code officials, and designers, MBMA drives innovation and fosters industry-wide progress through groundbreaking research and continuous improvement efforts.

Since 1962, PBS has been a trusted provider of top-quality pre-engineered building systems for clients across the Northwest, Alaska, and Hawaii.

“We are honored to join MBMA, an organization that serves as a leading voice in the metal building systems industry,” said Brant Smith, CEO of Pacific Building Systems. “This partnership reflects our dedication to excellence, and we look forward to collaborating with industry leaders to drive innovation and shape the future of our field.”

MBMA has two membership categories: Building Systems members, which include metal building manufacturers like Pacific Building Systems, and Associate members, comprising suppliers, architecture and engineering firms, and related service providers. Building Systems members are the backbone of the industry, producing approximately 28,000 buildings annually.

Membership is highly selective—manufacturers must hold the AC472 accreditation, a rigorous quality assurance program through the International Accreditation Service (IAS) that ensures compliance with the highest standards in engineering, manufacturing, and quality control. Additionally, members must employ qualified engineers and designers to oversee and ensure the integrity of their building designs.

“I am excited to welcome these new members to MBMA,” says Tony Bouquot, MBMA general manager. “We are looking forward to working with them and welcome their participation as we work to grow the metal building systems industry.”

Thanks to MBMA’s investments in engineering, structural improvements, and fabrication innovations, metal building systems are now stronger, more cost-effective, and visually appealing, making them the top choice for low-rise structures.

Through education, advocacy, and a focus on research, codes, and energy efficiency, MBMA continues to drive innovation and promote metal as the premier solution for sustainable and high-performance construction.
