Why Choosing High-Quality Metal Building Components Matters in Pre-Engineered Buildings
Pre-engineered metal buildings offer longevity, expansion and durability against extreme weather conditions. When choosing construction materials for these sturdy builds, high-quality steel components provide an optimal build and life-long durability. Pacific Building Systems is the premier manufacturer of steel building components in the Pacific Northwest. We know the weather here can get a little wild, and our building components hold up well against it.
Steel is one of the strongest building materials currently available. High-quality steel siding & roofing panels are also a non-combustible option when weighing conventional building materials against our PBR siding and new concealed fastener roof system (SSQ-275). Our team of specialists is always ready to help you bring your vision to life.
What Makes a Pacific Building System Steel Component High Quality?
Our high-quality components should provide durable, sound construction capable of withstanding extreme weather conditions. In order to ensure durability over time, we’ve gone above and beyond in making sure our metal building components are built to last. There is a tangible difference in the products we provide, such as:
- A heavy coat of enamel paint on the primary structural steel, not just a thin coat like most manufacturers. This can help maintain not only the aesthetic value of the component but extend its lifetime by having that additional protective coating.
- G-90 Galvanized secondary framing (purlins and girts, doors and window framing, base and gable angle) for a longer life span and better light reflection. With all the different weather patterns we know your building is likely to experience, we want our metal building components to hold up to them all.
- Cut-to-length bracing with all the hardware already in place for faster erection. Constructing a pre-engineered building doesn’t have to be a grueling process. With our high-quality metal building components, it can go from grueling to great.
- Whether you are retro-fitting your existing structure or adding a pre-engineered metal building to your property, you are making an investment. Your decision to use PBS will add value.
How Can Pacific Building Systems Steel Components Extend the Lifetime of a Pre-Engineered Building?
PBS steel sheeting is offered in a variety of gauges, 26 gauge for PBR and 24 gauge for our concealed fastener roofing. Higher gauge material proves its quality by resisting dimpling during installation, unlike 29 gauge materials which we reserve for interiors. Additionally, thicker materials provide better resistance to corrosion allowing them to withstand the test of time.
When designing buildings to last generations, it’s important to consider regular use as well as emergency scenarios. Pacific Building Systems provides complimentary closures and sealants to give more protection against damage from extreme weather. This can be an essential factor when weather proofing your building from the elements here in the Pacific Northwest.
Because it’s not possible to alter the construction environment for our buildings, it’s important to choose materials that fit the job. Lower quality materials are susceptible to damage and wear through the years, while the high-quality steel components we provide leads to greater longevity.
How to Choose the Right Pacific Building Systems Component for Your Pre-Engineered Building
Choosing steel building components that fit both the needs of your pre-engineered building and environment can be overwhelming if you’re unfamiliar with metal buildings. There are a few questions you can ask yourself to get clear on your needs and we can help you navigate from there. Does your building need to withstand heavy snow? Will you need to allow for large bay doors? Do you need to transport materials long distance before starting construction?
Choosing Pacific Building Systems steel components in your construction will allow the building to last through the years. Making a list of your architectural preferences and needs will help us make sure the right component is being provided to you.
After spending some time perusing our component catalog or shopping in our new store location, we have skilled experts on standby to help you pick the right part. Our turn around times for parts manufactured at our plant, delivery and pick up options are designed to fit your schedule.
